Yen Press, the graphic novel and manga imprint at Hachette, will adapt Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire into a new graphic novel with the same plot but a new point of view: the story will be told by Claudia, a child who is transformed into a vampire by Louis, the narrator of the original novel. Newcomer Ashley Marie Witter will illustrate the story, which will be published as a single volume in fall 2012.
I’m actually curious to see if this will be any good. The drawing of Claudia is hauntingly beautiful! So as long as the slash is still there, it’ll only add to the greatness XD

Usually I don’t like it when novels are adapted into graphic novels, and I figured I would be especially touchy about any of Anne Rice’s work because there’s such bad fanart of it out there, but if Ashley Marie Witter’s style is consistent to this, I have never been more excited.
